Which area do you prefer?  Sugar Land is 40 minutes south of Katy.  Personally, I think Sugar Land offers much more in the way of culinary destinations.

Try Corelli's Italian Cafe at 3229 Hwy 6 S.  It's right before Williams Trace on the left hand side if you are driving south.

Try Antonias' in Katy. Its near the walmart (Katy Mills)

The food is above average and the staff is excellent.

If you have not tried the Dessert Gallery (www.dessertgallery.com) - it's a must.  They do not only have desserts but great wraps, etc.  There are three but the one in Sugar Land is the best.
