Where is a good place to eat near the Edinburgh Playhouse?

I fancy somewhere nice although not italian and not somewhere in the omni centre.

The Grass Market is 5mins walk from the Playhouse, there are loads of eating places around there, there are Chinese & Indian restaurants on Lothian rd & at Tollcross

there's a new kebabish restaurant opened where the bronx chippy used to be at the corner of blenham place next to royal bank of scotland, i have not been, but friends who have said the food was really nice tho not cheap, or try down Broughton street the basement bar, the outhouse, and thai restaurants all near the top or my personel fav Kushi Indian restaurant 2/3rd way down on the left hand side the best nan bread in edinburgh
