  1. No good places around Glendale.  Your best bet is take the 210 to the 5 north and fish at Castiac Lake (approximately 40 miles away).  About 15 miles or so north of Castiac on Hwy 5 is Pyramid Lake.

Or, just before Castiac Lake take 126 west (next exit after Magic Mountain) and fish at Piru Lake.

Another thought is to take the 210 east to Azusa and fish the San Gabriel River when its being stocked.

  2. good? in Glendale? not bloody likely mate but in venice the corbina there get the size of trucks and you can catch them from shore! like right now!  there are a few reservoirs around the San Fernando Valley but they aren't much. the ocean has them all beat by far. Out of Marina Del Rey are boats half and 3/4 day off the beach in torrance and palos verdes is a huge halibut bite going on right now and off the pier in H B regularly a big butt or two get taken almost every week.
