  1. La Jolla is correct


  2. You can rent kayaks at La Jolla Kayak.  They offer both guided tours and just rentals if you know want to go it alone.  They have both single and double sit-upon ocean kayaks.

    They give you a 5 minute safety training before you go and will also haul your boats down to La Jolla Shores beach for you.

  3. Try mission bay it's really fun and you can rent kayaks there. I don't know how much. I think you can also kayak in one of the Carlsbad Lagoons but i'm not sure.
