Where is a good place to go on holiday in australia?

where do you suggest i go for a nice hot holiday away from chilly melbourne. I was thinking maybe over to Queensland..the whitsundays??

Port Douglas is fantastic, or the Whitsundays are a good option. Apparently Broome is also great but I haven't been there yet.

It is nice in the shade.

I came to QLD thinking Sydney was the best.. was I wrong..
