  1. try tiger lilly,s its on george street book early it,s a hotel and resteraunt other than that the witchery is nice just more of a tourist attraction

  2. The Witchery-beside the Castle

  3. you could try Garfunkels on Frederick Street or failing that try the Doric Tavern (upstairs) just by Waverley station.

  4. Definately go with The Witchery, or even Stac Polly or less expensive try The Room at the West End, and get the wee alcove at the back, and remember it's BYOB there too, added bonus!

  5. Have a wee walkies down the golden mile, loads to offer

  6. the royal scot hotel  princess street  next to the railway  station and not far from the main attrations   enjoy

  7. I found the Witchery over-priced, gloomy and claustrophobic. Try Rhubarb if money isn't a problem , or the Canny Mann in Morningside - if the ambiance doesn't get you talking the decor will ! And the food is yummy !

  8. Hi, My boyfriend and visited Edinburgh in July for our a romantic weekend away....We were not disappointed..He booked the Grain Store, 30 Victoria Street. Just minutes from the castle, the Grain Sore has a medieval feel about it with some intimate corners and great candle lit tables.

They do a 3 course set meal for about £25, and it is so good, the whole evening was perfect. Lovely waiting staff, gorgeous food and it all came to about £70 inc 3 course, wine, cheeses and a glass of port.

    Have a great time!

  9. Doesn't matter where you go, as long as you order the HAGGIS.  Believe me, it's a date she'll never forget.

  10. You could try the Tower restaurant in the museum. It is on the top floor. Abit pricey but the setting is quite romantic.

  11. Try "The Witchery"
