Question:

Where is a good place to hold a knitting class?

I want to start teaching knitting classes for a reasonable fee, but my lease does not allow me to run a business out of my apartment. I live in Santa Monica, CA, and the library here will not allow me to charge money to rent a meeting room. The public schools also cost way more than I would like to spend to rent a room. Any ideas where I should hold a 2 hour class?

  1. Check with the parks and recreation department. I have classes that I teach at  local parks. They keep a portion of the fees, but it is based on number of students.

    Check into senior centers, etc

  2. i have the 'potentially' perfect solution.

    visit the web site

    Chalkstick.com

    get back to me re your impression;

    it is just now getting off the ground.

  3. go to the persons home who wants the class  a park bench at a school

  4. Go to your local adult education center.  They will pay you to hold these classes  (at least they will in my area)
