I would say the Gold Coast  or Sunshine Coast in Queensland for a start.

If you go there in Non Holiday season ,you can get a holiday Unit or Condo for a good price.Much cheaper than Motels and you can self cater.

I would put into www.google.com.au and search Australia only.Put in your search ,holiday units ,Sunshine Coast Queensland to start.Then try Gold Coast Queensland,that is where all the theme parks are.You can combine 3 different theme parks and you will get a better deal.Also try real estate agents on line as they also have many holiday houses and units for rent.Let your fingers do the walking first.Also if you need a car search for cheap car rentals,as you can get an older car here much cheaper.

Also put in the search engine,school holidays Australia,then you can plan around the crowds.

We always stay in Queensland in the off season,can get some bargains.Also beaches not so crowded and the same with the theme parks.Also cheapest air fares in Australia try
