Where is a good place to live near Las Vegas?

A place that is close enough, but still out of the way.

Where you aren't right on top of your neighbors, but their not miles away.

The master planned communites of Mountains Edge or Aliante in the NW.  There's room to breathe, great mountain views, shopping, good schools and away from town.

I recommend the master planned communities of The Lakes, Summerlin or Piccolle Ranch.  Right now you can get some great deals due to the foreclosure rate.

Those developments are about 8 miles west of the Sahara Hotel/Strip.

I would not live anywhere but a planned community or you could see a neighbor with cars on jacks, etc.   Aliante is in the far norhern part of the valley and a flood zone.  Mountains Edge is the far south end of the valley and still under major construction.
