Going on a Saturday; ideally looking for somewhere a couple of miles away on a tube line or main bus route, and open til late in case of delays getting back after the show. I'm not very familiar with the area and any suggestions or information that might be helpful would be very much appreciated.

  1. It ain't easy! There is quite a lot of parking on the approach up the A316 (a big field on your right) and a local Tesco (but they probably enforce a 3 hour limit)

The problem with Twickers is that its not near either a tube or overground station...Twickenham is the closest overground...Osterley Park is probably the nearest tube but its quite a hike

Have a look at the link as it might help...enjoy

  2. Twickenham doesn't have a tube, but the train station falls within travelcard zones, so you can go to Waterloo and get a 30-45min train out to Twickenham, then walk 15 minutes to the stadium, or go to Richmond on the District line and catch that Waterloo train for it's last ten minutes.  But a travelcard does it either way.

There is parking normally on fields adjacent to the A316 westbound just before Rosebine Avenue (if you want to look on the map), but you'll still have a ten minute walk and maybe some traffic congestion.

Don't be tempted to park on the residents parking areas as the traffic wardens will be out in force the minute your all in the stadium.
