The books I want to sell or donate are still in really good shape and I wanted to know if there is a book place I could go to get money for my books kind of like when people go to clothing shops and get money for there clothes they don't want anymore. If there is nowhere I could get money for my books I was thinking of donating them somewhere.

Any suggestions?

  1. second-hand bookstore, library, salvation army or a church.

  2. To your local library, you can get a nice tax write off and make money that way.  I gave my professional library to the public library and had the max on charitable donations for that year. Selling used books is difficult. It is easier if the books can be sold by the library when they have a book sale. Text books are out, they do not want them.

  3. you can look for used bookstores in your local yelloe pages. also yahoo groups has a group ,I think it's called writers bookshelf- where they trade used books

  4. Donate them to your local library or to a school library.

If you want to sell them, I'd try eBay or a secondhand bookstore.

  5. Look on-line or in the phone book for used book stores.  Many give you some in store credit for them.  If not try Craig's list to sell them.  Thrift stores always welcome donations and many hospitals accept donated books as well.  Good luck.

  6. go to www.paperbackswap.com

it's a place where you list your books, and get credits for every one you mail, and can use the credit to get new books in the mail from others.

  7. You could always try selling them on Amazon.com .  If you wanted to donate them, the public library is a good place to drop them off.

  8. There are used book stores or there is always Goodwill stores you can find.

  9. Maybe the library will let you set up a desk at the entry. /
