  1. Camden Market is the place to go !

  2. I used to live in Bayswater, opposite Whiteley's shopping mall. Bayswater is quite centrally located and many markets are nearby.

All depends what sort of bargains you are keen on.

For antiques, curios, nick-nacks and some clothes/shoes - If you are free on Saturday, you can take a 30-40min walk along Westbourne Grove to Portobello market. Make a left past Whiteley's and walk straight down. After getting past the rows of townhouses with shops on the ground floor, walk somemore until you pass an old parish church and some boutiques. Walk down somemore past the council flats and viola, Portobello Market on your right. I head down there quite a bit. Often stopping for breakie, a cuppa and fresh produce on the side. =)

For generally just about anything, you can head to Camden Canal Market, off Chalk Farm road. Simply take a tube to Camden Town or Chalk Farm or if you prefer a more scenic walk, walk along the canal tow path in Regent's Park until you reach the market.

For clothes, Petticoat Lane market has plenty of choices.

Having said that, there are often clothing, shoes, apparel bargains to be had in the shops along Marble Arch to Oxford Circus. You simply take a tube to Marble Arch, come out of the station, make a left and walk......

If you are keen on something different, you can try

Brixton Market - East of Brixton Road : Head to Market Row for exotic arts & crafts, cheap clothes and ethnic nick-nacks.

Greenwich Market - Church St : for handicrafts, paintings etc. On weekends, the Stockwell St side of the market has antique furniture, period clothing, second-hand books and music records

    Have fun!

  3. You have to go to petticoat lane. The prices are unbelievable I got 4 fair quality shirts for £5
