Where is a good place to store a battery?

Right now i keep my batteries in the freezer. Will keeping them in the freezer lessen the life? Is there any other better place to put them?

  1. FREEZER IS THE WORST PLACE

    The electrolyte paste in the battery will freeze and can cause the seals to fail. This will kill the battery and could damage the fridge.

    The best place to store the batteries is the fridge, the cold temps lower the battery reaction and will extend the life of the battery.

    *Note... the fridge, NOT the FREEZER!!

    This ONLY WORKS WITH ALKALINE BATTERIES, secondary cells such as NiCd, NiMH, SLA (rechargables) are designed to operate in a wide range to temps wile the alkaline slows down.
