Where is a good place to volounteer in Mississauga if you are only 11 years of age?

I am 11 years old, and I enjoy helping others, playing sports like tennis, and love dogs. Where are there places in Mississauga to volounteer? Can you please be specific by naming the exact places. Thanks.

You can volunteer at the YMCA Owen Sound.  That is all I can think of.

Hey I live in Brampton! Lol twin cities =]. anyways i would suggest the city library, they let you read to the kids & help sort books, really simple.

I don't live in Mississauga so I can't name any places.  Just want to say that we have a Volunteer Centre where I live and they have all kinds of listing for volunteers needed.  If can find out if you have one there then you can call them and see what they have that you can do.

Other suggestions if you don't have something like that are

if you like animals...see if the spca or a vet would need your help

go to a senior centre and visit the elderly

help neighbors like a little old lady that lives alone...with yard work, housework or just visiting them.

Collect money for a charity....with thier authorization of course

Pick up garbage in your neighborhood

Do a google search for volunteer opportunities in your area.

I'd just like to add that it is very commendable of you to choose to volunteer at y our age.
