Where is a good reasonably priced place to stay in Maui during February?

Question

Looking for nice hotels and things to watch out for as well.

my favorites are the marriott and hyatt, right on the beach, and they have the best pools! but they are on the more expensive side.

Kaanapali/Lahaina has ALOT to offer as far as Nice Hotels and Condos...over the years from the time I was a kid until now as a grown-up with my own Keikis (kids) I have stayed at several of the Hotels,Including the Hyatt and the Westin Maui...if given the choice I would choose The Westin, they are Both Beautiful, but the Hyatt has a tendency to be rather slow on Personal Service, The Westin doesn't seem to have that problem. On Maui we now prefer to stay in a Condo, our favorite is the Kaanapali Ali'i...It is everything anyone could ask for (make your reservations early, they are Always Booked). Ka'anapali Beach Resort/Hotel is very nice as well..alot of little personal touches...stay away from ResortQuest their management is sadly lacking, they are nice enough, they just have absolutely no idea of how to run a Resort~~Aloha,E Komo Mai~~

It depends on your budget. Here is a list of reasonable accommodations that are very popular in Maui.  Are you a first time visitor?  If so then I would recommend staying in the Kaanapali or Lahaina Area.  It is closer to all of the acitivities.

February is their high season so the prices are a bit higher than everything you see advertised right now (for the fall).  However with the economy over there being so bad, they are still offering fantastic deals!
