Where is a good spot to fish at Delta California?

I m from the Antioch area and was wonder where is a good spot to fish? I m looking to catch catfish. If you have some experience in the delta area, that would be much help. I never fish in the West Delta area before, but would love to give it a try.

within 1 mile of the delta, fish upstream (always) on the American River. Both Large and Small mouth bass, trout, catfish and during runs shad and steelhead not to mention a salmon or two. Use the deep diving flatfish with a sardine slice laced and tied with 2 pound test on it's back for the salmon. Spinners for steelies and trout and I like using the jig around rock piles for small mouth bas and worms for large mouth bass and little featherd jigs for the shad. Good luck mate
