Bugaboo Creek. They have a talking moose :) Very kid-friendly.

I like to take my son to restaurants that are already kind of loud. That way it won't annoy people to much if he starts making noise. Fridays is good for that, or chilli's, Outback is nice to, but I agree it is expensive. I like to go to the kind of place that has a TV on and/or peanuts on the table with the shells on the floor. Any kind of place that bills itself as a family restaurant. A good diner can be good for this as well.

You should be able to take your children to any steakhouse as long as they are well behaved.  Children need activity to keep them occupied.  Coloring books or drawing.  Quick appetisers helps also.

Outback or Ryan's are good choices.

Logans Roadhouse... If you have one near you. Its a greaat place that is laid back and awesome for kids. They have big buckets of peanuts out and you just throw the shells on the floor... so making is mess is no big deal!
