Where is a good vacation spot in for maryland?

I want to go away for the weekend with my husband and I am looking for a nice cozy place for us just to relax. Any ideas?

Stay at a B&B in Havre de Grace, it is small town on the Chesapeake Bay.  It is very cute and quiet.  You must eat at MacGregors for dinner, sit on the deck overlooking the bay, it is amazing.

Ocean City is a nice beach. It is approximately 2.5 hours way from the D.C. area and it is a great mix of relaxation, fun clubs, plenty of food on the boardwalk. Around this time of year it is kind of pricey and the further you stay up the beach - as the street numbers go up - the more calm the crowd gets. If you and your husband decide to go to a club try Seacrets. Have fun!

Eastern Shore of Maryland - St. Michaels - quiet small town America with lots of history. Western Maryland, mountains at Deep Creek Lake.

Chincoteague  (I'll look up the spelling and get back).

Most of the year it is a fairly quiet spot.  There isn't anything huge there--no amusement park, no nightclub, it's just a place to relax amongst the natural wonder of the ocean.  There isn't a lot of fast food, traffic lights, or any of those kinds of annoying reminders of home--it's a small town that somehow manages to stay small even though it is such a nice place.  The only time it gets crowded is when they have the pony roundup each year.  There are a couple great beaches, and some other interesting but messy natural areas you can explore (for instance, there's a salt marsh where you can find all kinds of creatures you never saw before, if you are willing to trek through ankle-deep mud).  The place is also usually quiet enough that sitting on the back porch of your rental house is relaxing enough without the beach.  

It's actually technically virginia, but you get there going over the Rt. 50 bridge like you were going to Ocean City, so it is practically Maryland.
