Where is a good vacation spot on the southern part of the east coast?

Need a vacation that is famiy oriented but not really as commercial as some places (Myrtle Beach etc.) Any ideas????

  1. Rent a house on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. The further south of Kill Devil Hills you get, the more sparse it gets. The miles of beach can be all yours (and your dog's) in the off season. (Google Outer Banks house rentals.)
