Where is a great club in NYC to throw a surprise 30th B-Day party for a guy?

My boyfriend is down and out about turning 30 and I am planning on throwing him a surprise birthday party. My ideal setup would be to have a private room or section in a nyc nightclub or lounge (preferably a lounge) for 50 friends and family where we can enjoy cake, finger foods, drinks and dancing. I am also interested in an open bar for 2 - 3 hours. This event will take place in december after christmas. Please please please please help!!!!
