  1. Jacksonville doesn't cost too much, but watch out where you live.  Other then that you can usually rent a house in Palm Beach Gardens, West Palm Beach area for under $1,000 a month and buy a home for under $180k.  If you want single bed rooms I'm sure you can find something for under $500 a month on www.craigslist.com (check out the FL section).

Tampa is pretty nice.  Honestly, I would stay away from Ft. Lauderdale and Miami as well as Riviera Beach as those places seem to be loaded with crime.

  2. When I think of Florida, I cant help but think of Miami too.

  3. Theyre all expensive! Since no place in fl is within less that 2 hours to the beach!

I like Goatfarm's answer! Ive been to that city, and it is very nice! It looks kind of like a sweet old town (well some of the houses give you that feel) I love it. I think its a very pretty place! Not to mention its only like an hour and a half from PCB!!

  4. Marianna is a nice area. It is in the north of the state, has wonderful access to the gulf, and isnt as expensive as some of the bigger cities like Miami, Daytona and places like that.

Because it is near the north border, you have fast access to Louisiana, Alabama, Georgia and more, depending on what you like to do, and if you like to drive.

There are some beautiful lakes, the fishing is good, and there is alot to do regardless of your age. Good luck finding a place to live that you enjoy.
