Where is a nice place to stay in Phuket? We don't want to be on Patong beach but near to it.?

I'd recommend Woraburi Phuket Resort http://www.discovery-thailand.com/Hotels... . A nice hotel with good service. We specially recommend the rooms with pool access. That is pure luxury! Relatively cheap and great value for the money. I stay in 4 and 5 star hotels all over the world and from my perspective, this hotel was surprisingly good in every way! Great restaurants next door and Massage. Fresh fruit cart on the corner.

I would recommend the Katathani Beach resort at Kata Noi Bay.  This is one of the best hotels I have experienced in Thailand.

Next to the south of Patong beach is Karon beach, is less hectic than Patong but still offers a full range of facilities http://www.thailand-destinations.com/phu...

I like Kamala beach, further north than Patong but within a tuk tuk ride for the night-life
