Please stay away from the chains. Houston has thousands of restaurants run by individuals instead of some head office in Fresno.

There are many places in houston you can celebrate with your friend.

The best and nicest restaurant mostly located in westheimer. The food there are more high class and special. (ex: brazilian, pasta, asian).

And if really like cheap and nice chinese food, you have to go to bellair (the whole china town is there) many asian food industries are located there. (for lunch, you can try dimsum)

for places that are easy to go to, you can try cheetah's,  chillies, texas steak house.....

Mel's in Tomball.  Best chicken fried steak in town.

Tookie's in Seabrook.   Best burger joint around.

Joe's BBQ in Alvin.  A great BBQ joint.  (Hard to say any 1 is best)

Los Cuco's (several locations) yes, its a chain, but Ohhh so good.

Uvalde Malt & Burger.  A drive up place with burgers they way they used to be made.... hmmmm

In other words... what part of town? what kind of food? This town is FULL of great places to eat and I don't know 10% of them... lol  good luck.
