I have seen this in a movie (I cannot remember which) and a few other places. Years ago, I researched it and apparently there is no logical way to actually play a game with, it's just unique art. It is a three level chess board- three boards (circular) stacked on top on another, about 2 feet in height altogether. the boards pertrude at angles so you can see all three. anyone know what im talking about, and have a link to one information on one?

  1. There's several variations of 3-D chess.  The most common/popular version is the one seen in Star Trek, found here: http://www.3dchessfederation.com/images/...

    There's a homemade, playable version here: http://www.noonelike.us/~orion/chess.htm...

    A 5 level version: http://www.3dchessfederation.com/raumsch...

There are also circular chess boards: http://www.chessvariants.org/shape.dir/c...

But, I've never heard/seen of circular chess boards being combined into a 3-D version.

    Happy check mating!
