Where is a place to go near Barcelona for the Holiday?

We are a group of young people willing to travel to Barcelona this summer. We want to know where should we go so we can go to the beach at day and to the clubs at night.

Well you are able to do both here in Barcelona.. But if you want something closer to the city ( maybe an hour or so away) I would go to The Costa Brava ( Lloret de Mar, Blanes) .. The beaches are nice ( Especially Lloret de Mar) and well close to the city...
