Amazon does have the best prices on the whole.  Any of the sites that offer cameras for less money with a whole bunch of "extras" usually means that the camera is a gray market import.  

The other sites I have used that sell cameras with the US honored warranties are Adorama and B&H Photo.

When buying more costly cameras, the savings made on not paying sales tax will more than compensate for the shipping charges and you should end up paying less for the camera, than if you purchased it in a proper camera store.

Usually online is cheaper... try amazon.com, bhphotovideo.com, and adorama.com. I've had great experiences with these. Ebay is cheap too, but you'll have to be extra careful!
