Where is a really good restaurant on london?

me and a mate are going to to the adelphi and we wanna go out for dinner but we dont want to spend to much. we want somewhere good so not macdonalds!!!

Why not splurge for once? Restaurant called the La Porte des Indes in the Marble Arch area has great food and quite impressive decor. French/Indian cuisine.

From the outside it doesn't look like much, but wow, when you walk in the the hostess gives you an orchid and takes you downstairs where you wait in a tented bar area w/ peanut shells all over the floor and then once your table is ready you are taken into a multi level area for seating. Exotic decor w/waterfalls.

I went by myself and wasn't too expensive, maybe 30-40.00USD,  but worth every penny after all the fish and chips I had while in London. Next time I go, will go w/a date as it is too romantic to go alone.

Millions of people got no problem with McDonalds (nice spelling by the way....lol). Maybe a nice snack with one of them Taco Bell rats would give you a greater appreciation for the golden arches.

Gaucho is a really good chain if you like meat - they specialise in Steaks and there are quite a few dotted around London.

If you like curry, head to the famous Brick Lane near Aldgate where the restaurants are all lined next to one another. Great value!

Paradiso y Inferno on The Strand is good, nice and cosy (or if you're with a partner, go downstairs - it's more romantic).  Reasonable prices and they leave you alone which I like
