Where is a really nice place to stay in Crete?

We are going to Crete in the middle of Sept and I would love suggestions on a really nice place to stay while we are in Crete.

Crete is a wonderful big island.Unlike the other islands that are small and concentrated in Crete you can open your wings and enjoy what your heart desires.

I love Hania a beautiful city with history and culture.I also like Agios Nikolaos and Elouda.

Elouda is a small place and very romantic..Elouda bay is such an amazing place to rest and enjoy the best that Crete has to offer.

Further down is Sitia a quite little city that is not exposed very much to the tourist industry ,some places Greeks keep to themselves.

Vai also is something to see.

It depends on you and what you like to do but the possibility's are endless.

Don't forget to taste the delicious flavors of Crete,found in little places that the local people frequent.Believe me it does not compare with hotel food.

I also recommend Hania.

There are many good beaches, one in particular called Falarsana is great but you need to rent a car to get there.

The town of hania is beautiful with lots of entertainment options.

the second town of crete after heraklion so you have manies activities not just beach,toutists and tavernas..

and its very pretty
