We already have a cirriculm but I would like to try a Switched On SchoolHouse (SOS) 7th grade cd. I just want to try it so any subject, just to see if we like it. We've looked on Ebay and there isn't every many for a 7th grader. If you have/know any sites where to get used cirriculm or switched on schoolhouse products PLEASE answer!

  1. If you are a member of HSLDA they have an auction service for homeschoolers.  Seems to be pretty active.

  2. amazon

  3. This is a pretty good site with many different books, and other school items.

    http://groups.yahoo.com/group/1001books/

  4. I would try http://cheapbooks.com but there are other places listed here where you can get stuff for free

    http://www.homeschoolinganswers.info

  5. Laurelwood Books.  Bluemont, VA, (they mail).

540-554-2670, and they have a website.

  6. I got all of my books used and in nearly new condition on Amazon.com. Just look up the publisher's website to decide what specific texts you want, and then search the titles on amazon and see if it's available used, or at a reasonable new price. We got 10 textbooks this year in new condition for less than $200. Considering a new textbook runs somewhere between $40 to $80, ten high quality, highschool texts for less than $200 is a steal. And I even had money left over in the budget parents set for me to get a new robotics kit to use in my computer science class too!

  7. You should check out sites like www.craigslist.com, amazon.com, and homeroomteacher.com

  8. There's also:

    http://www.homeschoolclassifieds.com/sho...

    http://www.booksamaritan.com/index.html

    http://groups.yahoo.com/group/1001books/ (might be a repeat)

  9. amazon and craigslist.

  10. exodus provisions

    christian book distributor

  11. Here is a site that hasn't been mentioned:

    http://homeschoolbuy.com/

It's from The Old Schoolhouse Magazine.

Also, the Homeschool Buyers Co-op has a free classified section:

    http://www.homeschoolbuyersco-op.org/

It's free to join the co-op and they have some AWESOME deals!

I get a lot of currriculum items from PaperbackSwap.com and now educational DVD's from SwapADVD.com:

    http://www.paperbackswap.com

    http://www.swapadvd.com

I love those sites, and the other sister site, SwapACD.

You can get way more than just paperbacks on PaperbackSwap!  The HS'ing area of the community forum is very active also, and many times "off list" transactions are made there for curricula.

  12. vegsource.com has a homeschool resale section that is very active
