This is really a tough question. I'll try to help as much as I can, but the bottom line is that Alco Gravure has not existed as a separate company for a long time.

The first part of the story is fairly easy to explain. About 10 years ago, Alco Gravure was bought out by Maxwell Communications, a British company owned by Robert Maxwell.  (More about him in a moment.)  In any event, here is an article from the New York Times talking about Maxwell buying Alco Gravure:

After that, it's hard to tell exactly what happened.  One thing we now know is that Maxwell was probably crooked.  He loved publicity and he got plenty of it, with his image of being a swashbuckling newspaper owner.  His family escaped n**i-controlled Hungary, he joined the British Army and fought from D-Day to Berlin, and he had an enormously successful business. In the end, however, it turned out that he may have been robbing his company.  

While sailing on his yacht in 1991, he mysteriously disappeared off the boat.  His body was later found, drowned, of course. Suicide?  Accident? Murder?  No one really knows.  But as a result it came out that he had illegally taken money from the company's pension funds.  As a result, it went bankrupt in 1992.

So, back to your question:  I don't know what happened after the bankruptcy. Conceivably, Alco Gravure was one of the assets sold off.  Or maybe everything was lost in the bankruptcy.  

You don't say why you are asking, but if  you own old Alco Gravure stock, you should contact the Registered Agent, which should appear on the stock certificate.
