  1. Like the previous answer, you'd really have to define affordable to get the best possible answer. Boarding schools are generally all expensive because they are taking on the costs of feeding, housing, and educating your child. Most boarding schools are in the $30,000-$45,000 range. Instead of looking for inexpensive boarding schools (which I would be suspicious towards), you should simply apply for financial aid. But, this requires that your teenager has an immaculate grade record and keeps it that way throughout his time at that school. In a previous answer you were recommended Phillips Exeter, which is one of the hardest boarding schools to get into in the world. Unless your 13 year-old is especially smart and has an exceptional background, I wouldn't waste time applying to schools that Einstein would have trouble getting into. I'm afraid you didn't mention what type of boarding school you are looking for, hopefully an academic-oriented one though. A boarding school that is known for anything else will not help your son at all. Boarding schools are definitely not the place to solve behavioral or educational issues (bad grades). I hate to pry, but I also hope that it is also his desire to go and not just "your choice". I've always had an issue with parents who "send" their children to boarding school. This rarely ends well. But I doubt you're "sending" him, if he's already a teenager then I'm sure he wants to go. Best of luck.

  2. i dun really noe

  3. There are many boarding schools out there that are affordable. If you are a single parent, in Philidephia, PA there is a boarding school called Griard College. It has very good education and it is tuition free. Or you teen can go to Phillips Exeter Academy. They have an incentive for very academically advanced children that parents make under $75,000, those students go to the school free. Or if you dont like either you can go to Boardingschoolreview.com

they give you information about financing for every boarding school in the USA

  4. sorry but all bs are expensive

  5. What typr of boarding school, one for troubled kids or one for excellent students.

    Can you define affordable?
