I'll try to make this brief.

I have a cat (feeny)She became pregnant had her kittens Feb/28. I was with her throughout everything. She had a litter of 5 very healthy kittens I kept 2 (smoky & luke) My daughter kept 1(bandit)the other 2 went to our daughters friend. Feeny started to turn againt the kittens hissing growling, she turned into a real B*tch.

My husband and I had to move suddenly from our fathers farm, we took the 2 kittens (smoky & luke) with us to get feeny a month later WELL in that month feeny had another litter of 6. Gramps watched feeny and the kittens. I just took the second litter to a local pet store (kittens 71/2 weeks) I just brought feeny to her new home yesterday. the kittens (smoky & luke have been her for a month.. Feeny hates the kittens I don't know what to do, she is so mean hissing growling chasing them trying to dominate??? My husband says feeny is MAD and want to get rid of her because he has become so attached the the kittens. Feeny was a good cat she just needs to be the only pet in the household. I don't want feeny to be put down

  1. Can I tell you about no kill shelters? People put sick animals in them..  They get filled with so many animals, and the animals just sit in the cage for years and years..

It’s a nice idea.. But its not.. That great.. And when they’re full, and someone brings a healthy animal, they say no. and this healthy animal is sent to a high kill, and is put to sleep..

I’d say look for a low kill shelter. Where they will put very sick animals to sleep, to make room for healthy animals..

It’s still all sick.. And people will always have problems with something but.. Just my idea.

If you want to find a good home yourself, go to kijiji.ca and post on there..

Or you can search “Hamilton no kill shelter/rescue”

  2. SPCA on Dartnall Rd

  3. There are NO, no kill shelters in Hamilton.  The SPCA on Dartnell is kill shelter.

It is so sad that you want to rehome the cat that has been a pet to you in order to make room for the kittens.  You even said she is a good cat why not consider keeping her as the only cat and rehoming the kittens.  You really dropped the ball with this, you were the one not responsible enough to alter her now she is paying the price.

Contact rescue groups in your area.

  4. You should have got her neutered...

  5. I think you should GET HER SPAYED then find a home for her yourself. Why burden a shelter with yet another cat because you just don't want her anymore? Put an ad in the paper and give her away to a good home. If you'd had her spayed, she wouldn't be in this mess in the first place. You owe her a better future.
