Where is and how do i work on the water pump on a 1997 mercury 9.9hp outboard motor?

when running has intermitten water flow coming from where the coolant water line is and after flushing the line i want to take the water pump out and change it to see if thats the problem, any suggestions?

the water pump is located in the lower unit, the part with the prop.   It's not a hard job to replace but you need instructions.  If someone gives them on answers, you'll always find something that they forgot to mention.  So, get a service manual.   Good luck.
