  1. u will have to bend over, if u know wut i mean

  2. I could be wrong, but every time I have had surgery, they put a oxygen mask on my face, and I breathed the anesthesia in. It was in a gas form. Maybe different hospitals do it differently. I live in the United States. I don't know if that makes a difference. Anesthesia is what makes you 'fall asleep' so you do not feel pain during the surgery. Are you possibly talking about what they inject you with to numb the area? Because in a case like that, it does depend on what and where you are having surgery.  If they are just injecting you with novacaine, or something like that to make the body part go numb, then they will not use anesthesia. Because you will be conscious during the surgery. There would be no need for it. Usually when they use anesthesia, it is because the surgery is so major, that just numbing the area will not alleviate enough pain. I hope that this helps!

  3. they usually jab the IV needle/tube in the top of your hand...it's painful, so insist that they give you some Lidocaine or EMLA cream before they stick you!!

Also, ask what they are giving you for anesthesia. Do NOT under any circumstances let them give you the drug called Versed or Midazolam, that stuff is cheap, dangerous and causes very bad side effects. If you need to have something in that family, request Propofol/ Diprovan it's a MUCH better drug, quick acting and doesn't leave you with severe memory loss and anxiety attacks that lead to chronic depression....Versed should be banned from use on people...that stuff is an evil poision!!!

  4. Most times it is given through an IV, but sometimes they do what is called a "nerve block", where they go in the nerve bundle and numb it-which causes everything down the line to numb up (as in shoulder to the fingers).

  5. Injected in to the back of the hand or given via a face mask. They can numb the hand for you, doesnt hurt at all and its quick :)

  6. It depends what part of the body needs to be put to sleep.

Usually arms, belly, & major arteries. Or sometimes they use pills, or they actually use an anesthesia lotion or spray and put it on the skin. Like I said it depends.

  7. in an iv. ususally in the top of your hand.

  8. i recently had my wisdom teeth taken out.

i was given an IV anesthesia threw the inside of my elbow...
