Where is ashley furniture made?

i was at that place and

the man said it was made in italy

but... he did not sound so sure

Most of it is made in SE Asian countries.  Some of it may be Italian designed, but their manufacturer's are located overseas.  It is cheaper to have them sourced (look at their wood choices) and have the components put together in countries with low hourly wages than it ever would be to use the artisan labor in Italy or anywhere in Europe, for that matter.

They are based in North Carolina, but that may not be where the furniture is made.  I HIGHLY doubt it is made in Italy, as Ashley Furniture is a respectable but very run of the mill sort of furniture store.
