Where is best church to attend in Rome?

I will be in Rome for a week. I would like to attend church in a memorable place. Where would be the best place to go?

In Rome there are about 270 churches... my favourite one is Sant'Ignazio, but if it is the first time you go to Rome you cannot go to St. Peter.

you can go to piazza di spagna, then you cannot not go in saint Peter square to see the basilica

St. Peters Basilica is absolutely gorgeous... you will get a feeling like never before by going in there. We were there for the last easter of Pope John Paul II. Also  the Basilica of Maxentius and Constantine

i like santa maria maggiore and trinità dei monti for the scenery, san luigi dei francesi for the caravaggios and san pietro in vincoli for michelangelo's mose

rome is full of churches, cathedrals, and basillicas...you can have a field day!...just walk around and discover!
