Where is best for Bahamas boat slip and property?

I am considering building a retirement home in the Bahamas with a marina for my boat and was wondering which island or bays would be most attractive in terms of both beauty and price?

Four Seasons Resort has a nice Marina with slips for sale starting at about 250 Grand, that is on Exuma.  Nice island to be on.  Also I would look at Harbour Island next to Eleuthera.  And for tax reasons I wouldn't rule out the Turks and Caicos which is by far the prettiest of the above islands and generally speaking  below the hurricane belt.

  But be prepared, hard to build a house and the price stays around 400 bucks per square foot.

But the islands are so very very nice.

Seriously, check with the Bahama tourist authority.  A few years ago I was considering the same thing and I contacted them.  They were a wealth of information but I ended up keeping the boat in Antigua
