Where is central perk located?

is in the same building where friends live? i want to explain why the go there all the time?

it was a set. there is no central perk, as much as we all want to be there and sit on that orange couch.

It was supposedly based on a now-defunct cafe called DT/UT, which was on 2nd Avenue between 84th and 85th on the Upper East Side.  It's now a wine bar called Caffe Notte.

That show and that place never felt like New York to me.  

On the other hand, Seinfeld did.   You can visit the Coffee Shop that they frequented at 112th street and Broadway.  On the show it was called Monk's,  in reality it is Tom's Diner.

If you mean fictionally where was it located, then yes it was supposed to be in the same building as their apartment.  Of course in reality it does not exist and was just a set.
