Can you smoke in pubs, restaurants, casinos, bingo halls, the cinema, patios, the mall, etc?

Just want to get a comparison on the restrictions there compared with the restrictions here.

Thank you for your time!

  1. Smoking is completely banned indoors at public places such as bars, restaurants, bingo halls, cinemas etc. in Scotland and Ireland. England will follow with a partial ban in Summer 2007. This will ban smoking in public places where food is served in addition to the ban already in existence in all cinemas.

but it should be band in all public areas anywhere

    Hope that helps

  2. MOSTLY JUST IN PUBS AND RESTURANTS

  4. you can smoke almost anywhere in Britain, except for stores or malls.

  5. Its banned in all public places in Scotland which includes taxis, railway stations (even outside on the platform), your own home if you have any civil servants coming for 2 hours prior to their visit.

So the first answer only applies to England, Wales and Northern Ireland but England and Wales are soon to ban smoking in restaurants and anywhere food is served I believe.
