  1. She is from Mexico and she speaks Spanish!

  2. Dora mostly uses traditions from Mexico, but she has never said she is from there; she represents mostly all Spanish culture, either from Central America, South America and Europe. Certain episodes have traditions that only part of Central America practices then they are other episodes that some parts of South America practices.

  3. The series first aired in 1999.   I don't think where she is from  exactly has ever been mentioned.  I just know that my little three year old grandson loves her.

  4. Mexico. Some of the books say that and if you look at some party settings or clothing items you can tell.

  5. Spain?  Somewhere Spanish.

  6. Mexico.

  7. Mexico i believe. i wonder why do kids love this character so much when they barely understand what she's saying. i wonder.

  8. It is a Spanish program that children watch to learn Spanish! I for one think that it is a good way for children to learn Spanish! Dora is a girl from Mexico and she has to help her friends in the episodes. She has a best friend named Boots. Many of the characters in this show speak Spanish. She will translate it and say this means (fill in the blank)

  9. She's from Mexico
