Where is electrical energy found in your house?

I know this may sound dumb but I'm having a blonde moment here. Is electrical energy kettles, dishwashers. If they are how much does it cost per unit in australia. Also how much does it cost for a family per week. Pls help

Electrical energy that is supplied to your house comes from the local power company (runs everything that plugs in), the same as your gas (for pilot lights in gas fired water heaters, etc.) comes from the gas company, or, in some cases from an oil company. They are all metered and record the amount of usage for which you are billed. No idea what the rates are in Australia and in the US that varies on where one lives and what company they use. A rough amount (depending on the time of year) as an average is about $100 a month in the US.

Your weekly usage will vary by life style and most companies bill on a monthly basis.
