Don't know about Farringdon, but there's an excellent one near to Spitalfields market. Cant remember what its called though !

there's also one close to (?) Portobello Road. Very good food, also some great veggie options. Not quite Farringdon, but well worth the trip!

Dont know about Farringdon, you could try Cookes in Sheppards Bush

S&M in Spitalfield (Sausages and Mash geddit?!).

Diner style sausage and mash shop - does veggie and diary free options.

Also one in Angel I believe.
