  1. rossnawlaugh, donegal is good for surfing if you dont mind jellyfish and orangemen.

  2. Dublin - Many museums and of course, the Guinness tour!

Galway City - During the oyster festival

  3. dingle, clare, and donegal for surfing. in donegal, go to bundoran...has an annual 'ocean fest' that's all about surfing. rough waves, like in the northwest (so my seattle surfer-brother tells me), but dingle is also meant to  be good (so says the irish rashers commercial and lots of friends)

  4. Head to kerry. Dingle bay has great surfing as its on the atlantic coast. But keep an eye on the weather forcast.

Theres plenty of surf shops & good pubs down there also. & your not to far from me in Cork!

  5. WHY NOT THE NORTH. WE HAVE THE BEST SCENARY

  6. Strandhill in Sligo... its a really nice town to go out in too, its not far from Sligo town and theres a hostel which is a stones throw from the waves and costs about €18.00 a night... theres also a campsite just off the beach

  7. Head out to either Dingle or the Ring of Kerry, make sure you visit the Cliffs of Moher.

  8. Whats wrong with N I ? Anywhere on  the west coast for surfing

  9. strandhill in sligo is good for surfing

  10. Definitely Kerry West cork direction so ud want to fly into Cork or Shannon. Its gorgeous down there, lovely beaches and plenty to see and do :)

  11. cork and kerry fab places and great surf. enjoy

  12. Wow no one said Lahinch or Doolin on the Western Coast County Clare.

Close to Galway to the North and Shannon to the South.  Best Airport that is close is Shannon can catch any bus to Lahinch.

  13. "Ireland, the best place in Europe if you are looking for some serious big wave surfing"

The site below shows 12 surf regions in Ireland with detailed maps of 43 surf spots all around the coast along with a discussion forum on surfing in Ireland.

  14. I spent ages in the many internet cafes in Dublin surfing to my hearts content!!

Oh and the guinness was good.
