  1. The only lawful place to teach someone how to drive is on private property, such as yours or the student. Do not use streets, parking lots, parks, etc. when teaching a person how to drive. You'll be fined & so will the unlicensed driver.

  2. I learned to drive on the streets of Long Island City, Queens. It's an industrial area (more so at that time, anyway), so find an industrial area and do it on the side streets without much traffic.

  3. I learned driving in a back lot of my local mall.

  4. in your dreams. only in the streets one will have to learn how to drive.

  5. Lonely,deserted country roads.

  6. I learned in various places. gravel and paved country roads. The parking lot of a mormon church. Never let someone drive without a license on a main road. cops saw me learning in the parking lot a few times, and never stopped me. As long as you teach them in a safe and overall legal manner. You will be fine.

  7. Assuming they have a valid learner's permit and you have a license and are over 25, you can teach them on any  public road.  I'd suggest you not go onto the regular streets in LA until after they get comfortable manipulating the car.  Start off in either the parking lot of a mall,  or go out to a suburban neighborhood, maybe Long Beach or the San Fernando Valley.
