North of the polar circle, for example. In north Norway (where I live) or Alaska, you get the midnight sun in the summer and no daylight in the winter.

There is a weather symbol you don't see on many maps: A line and half a sun under it. It means that yes, the sky will be clear but no, you won't see the sun because it stays under the horizon. We have that in Norway.
