I am from Minnesota, and it is extremely hard to get hired here. I am looking at going out of state, but don't have a perfect background (nothing illegal, just dumb choices made awhile back). What states are easier to get hired in, and more "forgiving?" I have a 2 year in LE, so I have the college degree already...

  1. Benton Harbor, MI

  2. Try East Podunk Nebraska; their standards aren't too high.  Good luck!

  3. lapd

  4. The easiest known to me: portsmouth virginia.

But besides that, if you have a degree, and you want to do the job, don't take no for an answer.  Keep applying, many of the agencies want to know that you are serious and dedicated.

About the forgiving part.  You must mean the lie detector test.  If you are a true officer then you will pass that anyway..and if you are, you will know what i mean!

  5. Cool, try police departments that are run by a university

  6. Most of the time it's big cities.

    NYPD, LAPD
