Where is it legal to play Airsoft?

Me and some friends were thinking about getting into Airsoft guns and we were wondering whether or not it would be legal to play in some abandoned field, secluded wooded area, etc...or do you have to go to a special Airsoft place? We live in Vancouver, BC, by the way.

Depends on the area.

1.  Check the laws regarding airsoft for the town where you will be playing

2.  Obtain permission (in writing) from the land owner to play there

3.  Notify the police department that you will be playing there and have written permission to do so from the owner

Once you have completed this steps, it is officially a legal field.

As much as some of us here on Answers would like to pretend to be, we are not experts on your local laws. The only way to find out an answer to a question such as yours is to call your local police department and ask them. The worst they can say is no, and they'll respect you for having the balls/brains to ask.

I'mm not sure if its legal but me and my friends play in my front yard and at his back yard we made kinda like a paintball field and we play ther but i think its legal to play at anyplace as long as your guns have the tip on the end and its orange and you not to wear you could shoot anybody thats not playing  then you should be good i love to play airsoft cuz i can't play paintball any ways  i think its legal and buy shooting glasses to keep from getting hit in the eye and be safe and have fun

my fav place is area 51, just watch out for the guard cause they play rough

if you just want to play in an abandoned field it should be ok as long if it doensnt belong to anyone. if the cops come bye just stay calm and do exactly what they say. cops will always treat airsoft guns as real guns so you gotta be careful if a cop shows up.

i play it and i have a good time we just have to make sure we dont let anybody see us
