I live on the second level in a 2 floor apartment building. Where is it safer for me and my child? 1st floor or 2nd? In the bathtub with a mattress over us?

  1. The safest would be in the center of the 1st floor. Unless the bathtub's in the middle of the house in an interior room, you shouldn't go there. Find an interior room in the center of the 1st floor and sit under a sturdy piece of furniture such as a wooden table or workbench.

  2. yeah i think the tub?

are you here in florida? i'm in fort lauder dale and i'm under a tornado warning for next few hours. i'm staying awake just in case.

  3. The centermost lowest level you can be at and furthest away from windows, and I would be in the room with the smallest ceiling span.....bathtub is good, just make sure you don't have glass shower doors or big bathroom mirror right next to you

According to the latest storm track prog you should be on the Western fleeting edge of the storm so you actually have the least probability of tornadoes....I'm South of Orlando so I'm basically screwed :P
