Where is my birth certificate??

Question

My friend and I went in and applied for our passports at the same time (both using our birth cert.) and she got her birth cert back the same day as she got her passport.

I got my passport Friday, but I haven't received my birth certificate back! :(

This is easy!!!!!! It was probably STOLEN!!!!!! I would call the place where you got your passports, and tell them to GIVE IT BACK!!!!!! Good luck!!!!

good question. it might have gotten lost. no worries. you can get as many copies as you like for a small cost from the county where you were born. my mother lost my certificate long ago and i got 2 copies from the county where i was born, i needed one to get my own passport a few years ago.

i keep one in my personal safe and the other with my passport now.

Order a new one. The one you sent  when applying for your passport has become a victim of our glorious over paid under worked, down right lazy  (not so) civil servants.
