  1. the chlorine evaporates into the air. body oil, suntan oil, lots of things brought into the water EAT it up. all you can do is try to replace it as fast as you loose it.

  2. your chlorine is evaporating or your test kit is old. what you should do is add cyanuric acid which preventes the chlorine from evaporting, but the acid should also be in the chlorine tablets in your floater. after adding acid and chlorine wait for 12 hours and test the pool again if you still can't get anything get a new test kit.

  3. DON'T USE ANY MORE CHLORINE THAN YOU HAVE TO ------IT ABSORBS INTO YOUR SKIN AND GETS INTO YOUR BLOODSTREAM -----THAT IS ONE OF TWO CAUSES OF SCARED ARTERIES AND WHERE CHOLESTEROL WILL CAUSE BLOCKAGES ( ON THE SCARED AREA ) AND THAT IS A LEADING CAUSE OF HEART-ATTACKS .

  4. chlorine evaporates-if your not using enough its not going to read-take water sample to any pool supply most will check and tell you what to add to get it up right level to maintain
